Ford Bronco Sport Leveling Lift Kit 1.75" Front/ 1.25" Rear

Please read instructions before installation. Ensure that all you understand where your parts are to be installed at.

 

FRONT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1.Raise the vehicle and remove the wheels. Always ensure proper safety procedure is followed when working underneath your car, including the use of jack stands or other equipment.

2.Lift the hood and remove the clips securing the wiper cowl.

3.Lift up the cowl and remove the bolts for the upper strut cover using a 10mm wrench. Remove upper strut cover.

4.Remove the 15mm tie rod nut. Retain factory hardware. (Strike the side of the steer arm to remove the tie rod from the knuckle.)

5.Remove the sway-bar link with a 18mm socket / wrench.

6.Use a trim removal tool to remove the ABS wire clip from the knuckle.

7.Remove the brake line bracket with an 8mm wrench. Do not disconnect any hydraulic brake lines. Retain factory hardware.

8.Remove the 21mm lower strut nuts on the knuckle. Use a hammer to remove the bolts from the knuckle. Retain factory hardware.

9.Remove upper strut bolts using a 13mm socket and remove strut from vehicle.

10.Grind down the edge of the lower strut using a sanding disk.

11.Install the front strut spacer with the factory bolts. Spacers are identical and strut bolt pattern is asymmetric, allowing only one installation orientation. Tighten bolts evenly until spacer is flush to strut.

12.Install the strut and front strut spacer assembly into the vehicle using the supplied M8-1.25 x 25mm flange bolt. Do not tighten at this time.

13.Install the supplied front sway-bar link.

14.Reinstall the bolts for knuckle.

15.Tighten the supplied M8-1.25 x25mm Flange bolt.

16.Reinstall tie-rod end.

17.Reinstall brake line bracket.

18.Reinstall ABS push pin.

19.Repeat steps 3-18 on the opposite side of the vehicle.

20.Reinstall the upper strut cover and cowl.

21.Reattach the wheel.

 

REAR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1.Raise the vehicle and remove the wheels. Always ensure proper safety procedure is followed when working underneath your car, including the use of jack stands or other equipment.

2.Remove the fasteners with a 10mm socket and panel popper. Allow the sound dampening liner to droop. Repeat this for the other side. More fasteners may need to be removed to gain access to the trailing arm mounting bolts.

3.Remove the lower shock bolt using a 15mm socket / wrench.

4.Loosen the control arm bolts but do not remove, to allow the trailing arm / hub and brake combo to droop more easily.

5.Push down on the control arm to free the spring from the control arm, a flathead screwdriver may be needed to remove the lower spring pad from its location.

6.Remove the rubber spring seat with a flathead screwdriver.

7.Remove the trailing arm bolts on the frame.

8.Install the trailing arm drop spacers between the mount and the body of the vehicle and secure with the supplied M14x2.0 bolts.

9.Align the rubber spring seat with the rear strut spacer and reinstall on lower control arm.

10.Install the spring on the rear strut spacer and rubber spring seat.

11.Using a jack, raise the lower control arm and reinstall 2 bolts removed in step 3.

12.Tighten the control arm bolts.

13.Repeat steps 3-12 on the opposite side of the vehicle.

14.Reinstall the sound dampening liner.

15.Reattach the wheel. In the end, check all hardware is mounted at correct torque settings. Recheck all work. Re-tighten Control Arm mounting bolts. Test drive, then have a trained technician perform an alignment.
